HTC G1 Google Android phone released

Published on September 25, 2008 by in News

HTC released the HTC G1, the first Google Android phone, in the United States. The phone is sold for $199 with a T-Mobile contract. The question is, when will we see a release in Saudi Arabia? HTC is usually very fast on releasing their devices in the Middle East. If it was released in Saudi Arabia before the iPhone then Apple will have a hard time catching up.

You can read about the specification of the HTC G1 here. And here’s 5 things to like about the HTC G1 Google Android phone.

The phone hasn’t been released yet, it’s only been announced and is available for pre-order. The actual release and availability date will be October 22, 2008. Just an FYI.

Right now it is tied to T-mobile, and if you try to buy it without a contract it will cost $399 which is what I consider the true price of the phone.

As for Saudi availability it depends on how soon this device will be available unlocked.
