Riyadh International Book Fair: A comprehensive book exhibition

Book experts confirm that Saudi Arabia has multiplied its efforts in the publishing sector showing increased concern over printing and distributing books. The government of Saudi Arabia has begun implementing the National Cultural Project to reestablish the once existing bond between books and their readers. The project aims at developing a positive approach and enthusiasm for reading in the different factions of the Saudi society. In tandem with this policy, the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education has signed an agreement with the Riyadh Exhibition Co. (REC) to organize and supervise the first edition of the Riyadh International Book Fair to be held at the Riyadh Exhibition Center between 23 Muharram – 2 Safar 1427 H (February 22 and March 3 2006).
