Sabq is not the only “Saudi Online Newspaper” that steals content from content creators and never credits them.
Alweeam has ignored the Creative Commons: Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported mentioned here. The CC means that you are free to share under the condition that you should attribute the work.
They have embedded the following video (video take from Saudi Arabia’s National Day celebration in 2009) without any attribution.
Even Alarabiya news channel is doing it. Same video posted on their site (WMV video).
I shared a similar video last year here with attribution to it’s content owner of course.

If the ones who work on such stuff are not educated enough when it comes to content copyrights. Not to mention that they can get away from such voilation easily, no?
guess they will just remove the video .. it was a lame article anyway
We will not see the end of this any time soon.
Why doesn’t the content owner contact Al Arabiya and enforce the CC license or somehow resolve the issue? Maybe it’s a case of misunderstanding.
Can you enforce the CC in the Middle East or GCC? Are there any laws that protect copyright on the Web in such countries? Is the CC even translated into Arabic?
Sabaq are really bad at reporting.. they picked up forum gossip and hoaxes more than once as legitimate news.
that’s why I hardly consider what they post “news”…
