STC is having problems with their billing system

Hopefully it’s not a huge problem. But many people are reporting that their STC bills are inaccurate. That’s due to the fact that STC is upgrading their ancient billing system and with that upgrade they will start releasing bills by the end of this month.

The initial rumors were that STC has lost the customer data during the upgrade, but let’s hope they are smarter than that.

Here is one of many Twitter messages about it: “Believe it or not #STC lost its Data, I just called them and my old bill is exactly the same with my new bill, how com??”.

    i buy a modam from jarir book store .a give me a free internet sim the sim was working 16 days after system down sim not working so iam going to hera branch but staff say system down so he cant colose the sim he say come after week i back after week

    STC has huge problems in their billing system due to a recent software project which was delivered by TCS ( Tata Consultancy Servcies). The Vendor is having problems due to this errors and millions of loses.

    Im filipino and suffered this problem from STC..just for 3 months I received a bill of more than 3258 riyals. and the maximum charge per month is 399. and besides my credit limit is only 1 thousand riyals. So, how come i entitled to pay the 3258 riyals now. and besides the STC is discontinued their service already in our phone line and yet we are continuously paying for the Bill. We went to STC Customer service they said to us they can not do anything about that and we must pay the bill instead or else this will continue to rise.

    How can i solve this problem because i feel hopeless and going back and forth to the STC Office here in Taif because the discrimination is too high and if we insist of asking how to solve the problem we receive harsh treatment. My Telephone # 027326349.

    Regarding the inaccurate billing of my telephone line. Which im being charge of SAR 3258 just for 3 months and STC inform us that we are being billed for two lines despite of the disconnection of the other line.

    I went last night to STC Taif-Branch and i met Abdulla Aldossary and he told me i need to pay first the bill of 3258 riyals before they can entertain my complaint or before the Telephone line will be disconnected otherwise if I don’t pay my unpaid bill the payment will continue to rise. What option am going to take now to stop my bill because STC customer service inform me that there is no way to stop the bill until i pay the remaining amount. What logic is that am continuously paying the bill despite the disconnection of Telephone and DSL service. I hope the STC will put section in their branches just to hear the grievances and complaints of their subscribers. Just yesterday i already paid 1258 Riyals and Ihave still 1981 riyals unpaid bill. I forced to borrow money from my friend with interest just to solve this problem. We have no option left but to pay the bill. 027326349

    I got also this Free Internet SIM from Jarir Bookstore (riyadh) when I bought my new laptop last May2009.… Today I checked my phone bill online and I was suprised to find out that I have a bill of 3,439 SR for this internet SIM, I haven’t used this SIM…. because it’s already deactivated last July 2009! Also I dont receive any bill details. Why am I charge of this amount? The charge per month is 350 also noted that my credit limit is only 1 thousand riyals. So, how come i end up to pay the 3,439 riyals?

    As usual I didnt get any reply from STC customer service until today! I thought I’m the only one having this issues with STC billing..is there anybody from this forum got this problem resolve? Please help advise me what to do?

    hi verde, let STC disconnect your line and move over to mobily or zain :) why should you pay for something you didn’t use? why should you suffer for their mistake… you can always have your mobile & broadband wireless Internet ;)

    `i mohd ahmed uddin phone no oi2709340 using dsl line for only 7months for one year i already paid approxematly sr.1500. again ireceived a bill of sr.1970 this is unfair and unjust please make correction in ur account as you know my limit is sr.1000.please close my dsl and provide me 128 kbps.as i already inform 2211.

    Assalam Alaikum!!!!!!!!! STC is doing worse of me. My DSL rate per month is only 160 riyals but when I saw the bill of 800 something, I was shocked like hell and could do nothing…. If the STC was having upgrading problem so y should we suffer for their problem and y should we waste our hard-working money…. The STC should be Boycotted for this non sense kind of work………… BOYCOTT STC

    where is go saudi arabia customer there All oparetor is chiter ! 12 month ago i goted a LAN line for DSL from STC he saying now all connect box is full you have to wait 2 month after comming new box i will give you DSL connection and your monthly fee 30 SR 2 month 60 SR but i’m wait 2-3-4-5 month but nothink happan and i called fer week staff saying just wait more then 7-10 day i also done becose i want it after 6 month i goted from Mobily brothband you can ask why not get from STC brothband ? ans becoz on this place STC only 2G network i can’t wnat 2G after 6 month i called 907 i don’t want your LAN/DSL but they don’t want to close my account

    hai sir, i am already subscriber stc broadband jood(4mb),but i cannot get enough speed then i talk to customer care centre they told me your cannot get above 2mb speed and also your line maximum speed 2mb but dsl bill are recieved 249,i cannot understand anything about their billing system? 2mb speed and 4mb speed are same?

    STC has a very serious problem with billing, I am glad that I shifted from STC to other provider, I had an internet connection and I used it for one full year and then I shifted my residence and wanted to close the connection went to the office paid all pending bill and closed the account and asked for a paper which show that I closed my account, the staff told that account is closed but did not give me any paper, and you can guess what happened, the next month i received a bill, I went there again showed the receipt and asked to cancel the account they told me to pay the bill only then It will be cancelled imagine not using internet for a day and paid a full months bill !! ok the story does not end here, again I requested for closing the account again the same story only bill receipt and not closing paper and again I get a new bill for the next month, thus I have paid three months extra before the bill stopped comming. And for all the readers i have a number of people here in JAZAN who have the same story some of them have paid up to 2000 SR extra bills without using internet before they could close their accounts. No body listens, no body talks, no place to complain.
