Its official, Gitex 2006 sucked!

I am really disappointed by this. Saudi Arabia is a major computer market and yet no one is doing any effort to “impress” us.

A message to the organizers, don’t call next year’s exhibition gitex, call it Mobile and Laptop Sale Show or something!

Gitex closed for today!

I didn’t go there yet, but I heard it was very bad. Also there was a sandstorm and some stands fell, so they closed Gitex for today.

A severe sandstorm that blasted the capital yesterday shut down the Gitex Computer and Information Technology show soon after it opened on its second day, eyewitnesses told Arab News.

The fifth Gitex will start today. Will it be worse than the last 4? I have given up hope for this expo.

Please find more useful info at the official site. Actually I was joking, please check this one instead.

I will try to attend it today, if I find anything good, I will report it here…

At the end …

It keeps getting worse and worse every year, they should rename it from Gitex to 7araj ….

Quoting my friend Ranma2k “On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it -10”

I guess Gitex 2006 will be -100 🙁

April 24 – April 28 2005 @ Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

“The 4th International Information Technology Exhibition for Saudi Arabia”. OK, lets stop right here … 4th … when was the 3rd … or the 1st?! I only remember a Gitex 2003, which was good, then a Gitex 2004, which was bad. It seems that its getting worse each year. Will this one be horrible? I blame the organaization of the event, no parking spots, no press releases from any of the major companies … Its just a computer (7araj) where companies sell what they have instead of showing thier new products …

Feel free to check the official site for more info. and tell me if you find the registration form. Last year, the REC site was down and when you google “Gitex Riyadh 2004”, you will find my website 🙂

Really! Click to see a screen shot!!

Anyway I will post more about it later …
